Notification on the admission examination for FY2021 Program (Regular Admission)
Entrance Examination of the Department of Chemical System Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo: The result of document examination for master’s program was notified on August 3, 2020 via email given in the Application form.
For the successful applicants, a separate email was sent to announce examination guide on August 4, 2020.

The 2021 entrance examinations of Department of Chemical System Engineering will be conducted online.
Please proceed with the preparation according to “Guide to Entrance Examination.”
There is no change in the examination contents, schedule, and duration (total).
However, it may require additional times for about an hour before and after the exam for the online operation.
Necessary preparations for taking the online examinations (excerpt).
- A bright and quiet private room (Environment that guarantees silence).
- A network environment such as an optical line that enables online testing using livestreaming.
- PC equipped with a separate webcam (recommended) and microphone (no headset or earphone is allowed)
- A cellphone equipped with a camera (4G or 5G)
Further details will be provided in a due course on this website and by e-mail at the time of posting the examination admission card.

To enroll in the graduate school of Engineering, applicants should complete the Entrance Application Form via admission application form creator posted to the website of Application Guideline for the Admission Examination, Graduate School of Engineering. Applicants for master's program need to download, fill, and submit "Questionnaire Sheet" and "Reasons for Application and Carrier Plan Sheet" together with the Entrance Application Form. Applicants for doctoral program need to download, fill, and submit "Questionnaire Sheet" together with the Entrance Application Form. The links are given below.

The session on March 31 (Tue) has been cancelled considering the situation of COVID-19. Those who are planning to take the exam can directly contact Standing Committee admission@chemsys.t.u-tokyo (please add ".ac.jp" to complete the address) or the faculty members of your interest. Laboratories are providing introductory information of the laboratories, and opportunities for on-site visits as needed.
